Lisa Johnston Launches New Website
Overland Park, Kansas — September 17, 2010 – As schools across the country celebrate Constitution Day, Democratic U.S. Senate candidate Lisa Johnston has announced the launch of a new website, www.IdeasForKansas.com, providing visitors with an easy-to-use platform to share, discuss and vote on ideas for improving the lives of fellow Kansans.
In her speech at the Friends University Constitution Day event, Lisa noted “the extraordinary vision of the founders of our great nation and their clear dedication to continual improvement and making our nation the best it can be by referencing ‘a more perfect union’ in the preamble to the U.S. Constitution”. Input and feedback from citizens is vital to improving and strengthening our state and our nation.
“IdeasForKansas.com gives Kansans a voice in the future of our state.” said Lisa Johnston. “Long after November 2nd, Kansans will be able to share their ideas with fellow citizens and both State and Federal Representatives can use the site to understand how voters feel about a wide range of issues.”
One of the key features of the site is the ability to vote on each idea. As votes are tallied, both citizens and legislators can quickly and easily understand which ideas are truly important to Kansans. The site also allows visitors to promote their ideas through social networking sites like Facebook and Twitter, inviting greater participation and discussion.
